Delete your Moneycapade account
You can delete your account and the data we store for it at any time. Here's how.
In the app
- Open Moneycapade (the web beta at beta.moneycapade.app) and sign in.
- Go to Me → Account, sign out & delete.
- Under Delete account, type DELETE and tap Delete account.
This deletes your account and everything we store for it: your encrypted cloud backup, your bank connections (we also tell Plaid to stop sharing each bank and delete the connection keys), your sign-in sessions, your password login, pending email links and any queued support answers. It happens right away.
To also erase what's saved on your phone or in your browser, go to Me → Privacy & lock → Delete everything, or uninstall the app. If you never signed in, nothing about you is stored on our servers, and Delete everything clears it all.
By email, without the app
Email [email protected] from the email address on your account with the subject "Moneycapade account deletion request." A real person handles every request. We'll confirm and delete the same data within 30 days. Please don't send account numbers or passwords.
What may remain
- Our database host's automatic recovery backups keep deleted data for up to 30 days, and then it's gone.
- Support emails are kept until your question is resolved, or deleted sooner if you ask.
- Waitlist signups are separate: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or ask us by email.
- Subscriptions: deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Paid subscriptions aren't live yet, so nobody is charged today.
More detail is in the Privacy Policy.
