Terms of Use

Effective date: October 18, 2026

These terms apply to the Moneycapade app for iPhone and Android and its website, offered by Montgomery Appworks LLC, an Oklahoma limited liability company ("we", "us"). By using Moneycapade you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Not financial advice

Moneycapade is a planning and education tool. It isn't financial, investment, credit, legal or tax advice, and we aren't a bank, lender, credit counselor, debt-relief company, tax preparer or investment adviser. Moneycapade never holds or moves your money. Budgets, paycheck breakdowns, payoff dates, interest totals, "Can I afford it?" answers, countdowns, net-worth and retirement figures are estimates based on what you enter and on assumptions, and they can be wrong or differ from your lender's, employer's or bank's figures. Scanned paystubs and receipts can be misread, so check every number. Always confirm with your statements, and talk to a qualified professional about your situation.

Scripts and emails the app writes

Call scripts and email templates (for example refund requests or due-date change requests) are suggestions. You decide whether to use or send them, and companies decide whether to agree. We don't contact companies for you and can't promise any result.

Your responsibilities

You're responsible for what you enter and for keeping your phone secure. Your data is stored on your phone, so if you delete the app or lose your phone without a backup, it may be lost. Don't misuse the app or website, try to break or overload them, reverse-engineer them except where the law allows, or scrape them.

Premium subscription

Moneycapade Premium costs $5.99 per month or $39.99 per year (U.S. prices; prices in other countries may differ and are shown before you buy). New subscribers may get a 7-day free trial, once. The app reminds you 2 days before the trial ends.

Free and Premium features

Core budgeting, the paycheck plan, debt payoff plans and crisis help are free. Crisis and safety help will never be moved behind Premium. We may change which other features are in Premium, but we won't take away a feature you're paying for during a period you've already paid for.

App store terms

If you use the iPhone app, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; if it conflicts with these terms, these terms control to the extent allowed. If you use the Android app, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. Apple and Google aren't responsible for the app, its content or its support, and have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.

Trademarks

Moneycapade, Rollo, Chomp, Penny and Shelly belong to Montgomery Appworks LLC. Bank, lender, card and company names belong to their owners. Moneycapade isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.

No warranty and limits

The app and website are provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, Montgomery Appworks LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including losses from financial decisions made using the app, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Moneycapade in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, USA, except where your local consumer protection law says otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll post the new effective date here and tell you in the app about significant changes. If you keep using Moneycapade after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
